It’s not often that a teacher takes up a class in the middle of the year, but this semester when an opportunity appeared in a research class, Ms. Barber took up the mantle. For the last two years before working in the third-floor media center, she taught English as a foreign language in Madrid, Spain. It was there that she developed her passion for being in the classroom and for research projects. She expresses her gratitude to be working with such hard-working and passionate students and highlights the wide range of projects. Some notable ones include safer F1 tracks, a universal language, addressing the lack of diversity in IT, and even some to do with rockets.

She’s truly excited to watch these projects progress and to continue cultivating students at IA!
