Our FRC robotics team, 8866, competed at the Peachtree District Gainesville Event this past weekend. Going 9-3 in Qualification matches, they earned a spot as the number 1 pick of alliance 1, sweeping their way through the playoffs and winning the event. With 67 points, they lead the Peachtree District and are well on their way to qualifying for the District Championship. They also won the Excellence in Engineering Award, exemplifying IA’s focus on iterative design. They will compete in a little over a week at the UNC Asheville Event, and then the following weekend in Statesboro, GA.
