The September 11th attacks was one of the most tragic events in American history, a great loss of life on our own soil. At Innovation Academy, the All About History Club is working tirelessly to memorialize and awareness about this event. All About History Club leader Ryan Cole (12) discussed, “It’s important to remember the sacrifices and the lives lost during this event.” This sentiment is just as important as it was 24 years ago. When commenting on this view, Cole said, “Because this event happened before most of our students were born, they don’t understand the gravity of the attacks. We hope this event will inspire students to become more aware of this piece of history.” The club and IA hope to continue these efforts of historical awareness in the coming months.
