The Healthcare pathway at IA is constantly expanding, and this year that growth includes the addition of a new Pharmacy pathway. Dr. Chann, the teacher leading this program, shared, “We’re excited to offer this pharmacy class to interested students here at IA. Pharmacy is an understudied but important area of our healthcare system.”

In the pharmacy class, students explore different types of medication, proper prescription guidelines, and essential protocols within the broader healthcare framework. This addition reflects a rising interest in pharmacy as a career path among IA students. As Dr. Chann explained, “We want students who are interested to have a class that bolsters their passion for a career in pharmacy.”

It is clear that IA’s Healthcare pathway is continuously evolving, and Dr. Chann looks forward to growing the pharmacy program in the years ahead.
