Previously on The Beacon we released an article on how student were unsure how to feel about the new House Time, however this attitude seems to be changing after this recent Healthcare Flex Friday House Time. In this article we’ll dive into how Healthcare did house time, the right way.

Instead of sitting inside in a dark room and playing some Kahoots, this House Time Healthcare leadership decided to do a field day with students, having different activities to play, credit to IA Junior Kai Payne for the drone shots provided of their events!
Healthcare had three different and unique activities, Sack Races, Bone Relay, and Tug of War. Breathing new life into House Time activities, IA Senior Aroush, a house leader for healthcare stated “We spent a lot of time trying to perfect this and make it fun and engaging.” of which they succeeded in, exceedingly. IA Junior Sakina, a room leader for Healthcare stated, “I had a lot of fun today actually!” showing how great House Time really was.
So what makes this days House Time so much different even though its just Wellness Time all over again? Students are finally able to experience Wellness time but in a different way for the first time since we switched to a house system for Flex Fridays, which was going outside and doing some unwinding either via some physical activity or just talking to their friends. Of which healthcare pathway leaders successfully achieved
Medical Relay.
Medical relay required a student to run across the field to their partner holding a bone, tagging them, when tagged the partner ran back to the start line and scored a point, if they were able to identify the bone they were carrying they get bonus points

Sack Races
Like any traditional sack race, students go to one end of field in a potato sack and tags their friend who races back to start in a potato sack. Its harder than you think to race in a sack!
Tug Of War
The game we all know and love from Elementary school, and the most unbalanced and unfair game to ever release since “Marvel Rivals” if you think “Marvel Rivals” is fair Beacon articles are written in room 123 during 6th period

Or just hang around!
Some students didn’t want to participate in games, but that’s alright! Since games were done on the field students could walk the track or sit on the bleachers to enjoy themselves!
In the end students had a great time in this House Time for Healthcare Flex Friday, and hopefully students will continue to enjoy the diversity of activities the Healthcare pathway leadership team will bring! In other news Engineering and IT Pathway leadership seems to be taking notes from healthcare so stay tuned for your next Flex Friday and report back to see how it goes!
