Happy Holidays to our IA families, 

As we all take a collective breath as the semester comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on this semester with satisfaction. What a great semester for our students and staff! 

Our students worked on a lot of great things this semester. From the Phoenix Project showcase to our science fair yesterday, our kids are proving once again that a passion for their education can make a world of difference. From their class projects to their extracurriculars, I am impressed with the commitment and dedication our students show. 

It certainly was a busy semester, and we are continuing to grapple with helping our students navigate their education, social interactions, and well-being. I encourage you to check in with your students to see how they are doing. Remind them that even if their grades weren’t exactly where they wanted them, they are still poised to do great things. Life is not a linear progression, but rather a journey into headwinds that require frequent course corrections. All is not lost, if they are not exactly where they want to be.

Now we will start looking forward to second semester. There are many things on the horizon, from Save-a-Life for our Health Science students, our “Making Fun” engineering event, and then on to Showcase and graduation. It will be over before we know it. 

As we close the semester, I’d like to again thank you all for the faith you have put in me and our team at IA. It is an honor to be a part of your students’ journeys. Thank you for choosing IA. 

I wish you joy and rest on for this holiday season, and I look forward to opening the doors in January for a strong finish to the year!
