On Thursday night, for the fourth consecutive year, IA students, alumni, faculty, and staff took to the streets of downtown Alpharetta in the Mayor’s Challenge 5K. The race which supports non-profits throughout north Fulton and metro Atlanta and once again Innovation Academy stepped up to the challenge. Of note,  11th grader Abigail Misganaw was the second fastest female runner and fastest under the age of 18. At the post-race celebration near city hall, students smiled and volunteered their surprise at the hills, tales of soreness, and a promise to return next year.
