In the eXchange, the Makerspace is a craft open space where students can unleash their creativity in any way shape or form with mass amounts of resources at their dispense. Some students decide to make hands on crafty projects that are interesting! Others decide to draw digital or paper art, however not everyone always sees the projects made inside the Makerspace, so today we will be covering some current projects being developed and some released projects in the Makerspace.
In the Makerspace, there is a massive amount of cardboard. Every single box that is brought into the school is either recycled back into the community or is broken down inside the Makerspace for student use! Over 20 boxes are inside the Makerspace untouched and there’s is dozens of carboard scrap pieces all around the Makerspace. We will showcase current projects developed in the Makerspace.

Some students have artistic clothes design, this is a dress an unknown student is making, due to the clothing mannequins in the Makerspace and the students can grab whatever fabric or cloth they need to make Halloween costumes, dresses, etc! There is dozens of POUNDS of cloth mostly donated from the community that students can unlock their inner dress makers with and get creative!

The Popsicle Stick House
Some students, love popsicle stick building, one of the most popular craft within the Freshman class currently is making the most insane stuff out of popsicle sticks! This is a house stored in the Makersapce storage system made entirely our of glue and popsicle sticks.

Hot Airship Design
Remember when I said we have a lot of cardboard in the Makerspace? This is a hot air ship that student A. Huff made entirely out of cardboard and has holes cut out by hand and all glued together, truly a masterpiece of craftmanship!

Robot Head
This is a robot helmet made entirely out of cardboard an held together with hotglue and interior reinforcements, it is entirely wearable and definitely a unique way to wear your Halloween costume this year!
That’s all the projects we have to feature this week IA, and remember the Makerspace is always open 8:50 – 3:55 Mon-Thurs, and remember competitions are always going in the makerspace for most creative projects! So come down to the eXchange second floor Makerspace and get creative!
Remember IA, make it great day, or not, the choice, is ours.
