To the class of 2025,
This graduation is a milestone: you are IA’s first four-year class—the inaugural Phoenixes to complete a full flight from lift-off to landing.
When you first walked into this building four years ago, there was no furniture, no backstory, and no proven track record — only a shared vision of a school designed to prepare you for a dynamic world. We imagined a student body that would own its learning, approaching each challenge with intellectual curiosity, humility, and passion. It was a leap of faith, a flight into the unknown.
Tonight, that flight completes its first full journey.
The path was not always smooth. You may hear a few comments this evening about the not-so-potable water project, the spirited chaos of the first IA Olympics, our Moonshot days, or the rocky launch of GT Block. Each of those moments helped shape the culture that future Phoenixes will inherit.
Through every hiccup and growing pain, you responded with enthusiasm and openness. You tried new things, took big but calculated risks, and in doing so became stronger students and better people. Your work has humbled and inspired me each year.
Thank you for taking a chance on IA. And thank you to the families and friends whose guidance and encouragement kept these students moving forward; your support made all the difference.
We are now in a brief layover before each of you gets ready for the next leg of your journey. As you depart, carry these three habits with you:
- Be curious. Inspiration lives down paths most people overlook—go find them.
- Be humble. Every expert began as a novice—never stop asking questions.
- Be passionate. When opportunity appears, meet it with energy and conviction.
To our first full flight of IA Phoenixes, congratulations on the hard work that has brought you to this moment. You have accomplished something remarkable, and your legacy will guide IA for years to come.
Thank you, and safe travels into the future.
