Last Friday, Students participated in Power of Storytelling Day, an experience designed to show how personal stories can build empathy, strengthen communication, and inspire new ideas.
Throughout the day, students listened to stories, reflected on their own experiences through their journals, and explored the ways stories can shape how we understand challenges in our community. The experience also set the stage for next year’s Phoenix Project, our schoolwide initiative focused on designing creative solutions to real-world problems. The stories collected and shared during Power of Storytelling Day will help students identify themes, needs, and opportunities that can guide the Phoenix Project’s challenge next year.
By beginning with storytelling, we are reminding students that every innovation starts with listening. Whether they are exploring Engineering, Health Science, or Information Technology, our students will use empathy and creativity to develop solutions that respond to genuine human needs. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to share their story. We are excited to continue building on the ideas, connections, and inspiration that emerged from our students’ stories
