I hope you all stay warm this weekend and get some quality time with family and friends.

As you might have heard, the forecast for Monday and Tuesday are not promising for school. No decision has been made about school yet, as weather forecasts are not an exact science, so please keep an eye out for Fulton County Schools’ official announcement for school Monday.

If the district does decide to move to a remote learning day, our teachers have lessons ready to support students at home on their Canvas pages. Since these lessons are only for remote learning days, they will be posted only if Fulton County Schools moves to remote learning.

While remote learning days are beneficial as they allow students to continue learning, so we don’t have to make up the days later, they can lead to some stress if students lose power or internet connection during a winter storm. Rest assured that teachers will be flexible with students who have lost power or connectivity. If this is the case for your student, remind your student to let their teachers know of their situation.

If teachers haven’t lost power themselves, they will be available to their students throughout any remote learning days that may occur.

Above all, please keep safe during this winter storm, and we look forward to seeing your students back as soon as the weather permits, be that Monday or later.
