Spirit Week Success!

By: Tina Azarm

Innovation Academy’s Homecoming remains one of the most anticipated events for students and staff, and our fourth annual celebration was yet another remarkable highlight! This year, Innovation Academy kicked off the Homecoming countdown through various themed days that allowed students to express their school spirit and creativity.

Monday started off strong with Pajama Day, where students were encouraged to wear their comfiest attire as they made their way through their periods.

Tuesday took a wacky turn with Dress Like A Minion Day, where students dressed as their favorite animated minion characters, donning on bright neon shirts, denim overalls, and chunky spectacles!

On Wednesday, students showed up in either puffy jackets or Hawaiian shirts as they settled the debate between Tropical vs. Tundra.

Thursday ended Spirit Week strong with the theme of Flower Power, where students wore distinct floral patterns and peace signs, showing their appreciation for the 1960s and 1970s.

In addition to these themed days, each grade level had the exciting opportunity to participate in the annual Homecoming Hallway Decoration! This year’s homecoming theme was “Enchanted Garden,” where students got the chance to collaborate with one another and compete with other grade levels in an attempt to create the lushest and most visually appealing hallway.

As students look forward to next year’s dance, there is no doubt that this year’s homecoming memories will forever be cherished in high schooler’s hearts.
